Job Title ​​ ​: Auto Electrician

Department : Workshop / Service Center

Reports To : Senior Auto Electrician / Workshop Manager / Service Manager


Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain the electrical and electronic systems of passenger vehicles, including Japanese, Korean, American, and European brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, repairing wiring systems, installing electrical components, and supporting automotive air conditioning repairs under the guidance of the Senior Auto Electrician when required.


Key Responsibilities


Electrical System Repairs

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and electronic faults.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, fuses, switches, sensors, and actuators.
  • Diagnose and repair charging systems, starting systems, lighting systems, horn circuits, power windows, central locking, mirrors, and other electrical accessories.
  • Repair battery charging systems, alternators, starters, and electrical control units.
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and manufacturer service manuals.


Diagnostic Work

  • Use OEM and aftermarket diagnostic scanners to identify fault codes.
  • Diagnose electrical faults related to the Engine Control Module (ECM), Body Control Module (BCM), ABS, Airbag (SRS), TPMS, and other electronic systems.
  • Clear fault codes and perform basic system resets after repairs.
  • Assist senior technicians with advanced diagnostics and programming.
  • Automotive Air Conditioning Support
  • Assist in diagnosing automotive air conditioning electrical faults.
  • Repair HVAC electrical circuits, blower motors, relays, resistors, pressure switches, and control panels.
  • Removing and reinstalling dashboards, center consoles, and interior trim to access HVAC components such as evaporators and heater cores.
  • Support refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak testing, and system recharging under supervision where required.


Installation & Electrical Accessories

  • Install and repair aftermarket accessories, including reverse cameras, parking sensors, GPS trackers, multimedia systems, alarms, and lighting systems.
  • Ensure all electrical installations are completed safely and according to manufacturer standards.


Workshop Operations

  • Complete repair orders and document all work performed.
  • Maintain workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and a clean work area.
  • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and company quality standards.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support senior technicians and collaborate effectively with the workshop team.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Electrical Systems or equivalent.
  • Automotive electrical certification is preferred.
  • Valid driving license is an advantage.


Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician.
  • Experience working on Japanese, Korean, American, and European vehicles.
  • Experience with luxury vehicles is an advantage.


Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to use multimeters, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic scanners.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of CAN Bus systems and vehicle communication networks.
  • Basic understanding of automotive air conditioning electrical systems.
  • Ability to remove and reinstall dashboard components without causing damage.

Must Have

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Electrical Systems or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician
  • Experience working on Japanese, Korean, American, and European vehicles.
  • Highly creative and autonomous
  • Automotive electrical certification is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with luxury vehicles .
  • Languages (English & Arabic)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driving license.
